This is an exciting time for Kirklees Markets, a service that is one of the largest market authorities in the country and performs well in context of markets nationally.  It is responsible for the strategic and operational management of 5 market halls and open-air markets, operating 362 days a year and delivering over 1300 market days a year.  Kirklees Markets is undergoing a transformation programme, with regeneration projects in Dewsbury and Huddersfield, developing and re-energising markets across the district.

Following the retirement of our existing Strategic Lead for Markets, who has successfully led the service over a number of years, we are looking someone to join the team and carry forward the work and vision for Kirklees Markets. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can lead the service into the future. A positive and solutions focussed individual, highly skilled and with expertise in Markets to steer capital projects, influence stakeholders and partners for the benefit of markets and to be innovative in creating new opportunities for the service, income generation and ensure markets remain a key destination and offer for residents and visitors alike.
