The role will deliver complex change projects for key services affecting Kirklees residents across the district.  The role will focus on delivery and development of change within the Highways Service, overseeing exciting and ambitious projects to improve services for our residents and staff, and support our approach to addressing the Climate Emergency.  Whilst experience in Highways is not essential, we would be particularly interested to hear from applicants with a highways background or experience of overseeing IT change programmes.

We’d like to hear from you if you: 

  • Have a background in programme or project management  
  • Have a business analysis experience, and can identify and robustly prioritise and manage risks, and progress opportunities 
  • Are able to think strategically and develop reports to articulate your ideas
  • Can present ideas to diverse audiences - tailoring your approach to individuals and situations to get the best outcome.  
  • Have a passion for improving things! 
  • Have excellent communication and influencing skills which allow you to positively challenge stakeholder thinking, focusing on the benefits and risks of the new approaches delivered by these changes.
  • Have a strong customer focus and commitment to making a difference for our citizens
  • Can effectively manage the resources and finances relevant to an assigned programme
  • Can identify and manage programme and project dependencies
  • Have a track record of delivering change
