What do you love about your job?

'I love working with people, this includes service users and colleagues. I find working within legislation and policy interesting and value social work skills and supporting vulnerable people to achieve their best outcomes and potential. I feel passionate about safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, and these values are embedded within the practice of the service. I am faced with challenges and am supported by my colleagues to work through this and continue my learning, development and skills'.

'I have an excellent team manager and service manager and at all times feel supported. I have had the opportunity to learn from my seniors and been encouraged to access learning opportunities. My colleagues are very supportive and I feel the team works very well together. The role is extremely challenging and there is always opportunity for discussion, debrief and supervision which is extremely important'.

What's the support and CPD like?

'I am extremely well supported. I have always had access to CPD and feel in the time I have worked for Kirklees (since 2014) I have progressed significantly'.
