This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Kirklees Peripatetic Team primarily covering North and South Kirklees care homes in an extremely flexible and supportive environment at ASYE, Level 2, or Level 3.

Working in Social Care is a challenging and rewarding job. In Kirklees we aim to deliver high quality personalised services and are looking for social workers who are passionate about delivering the outcomes of personalisation. Is that you?

Team Details:

In the Peripatetic team, you will primarily be working with adults living within a 24-hour care home setting who have social care needs of varying complexity. You will be required to complete holistic assessments and reviews of a person’s needs to ensure they are supported and to achieve the best outcomes. This will involve building professional relationships with care home staff, seeking and encouraging the contribution of the person, their carers and relatives, as well as others involved in their care. As part of the role you will engage in multi-agency working with a wide range of health and social care professionals including care homes and health professionals.

There’s a really supportive feel to our team with approachable managers and assessors who have an open door policy and are willing to listen; we all pull together to support each other and share our expertise.

What we can offer:

  • We are committed to providing our social workers with exceptional levels of support, from a comprehensive induction through to continuous personal and professional development.
  • We provide and encourage you to make the most of the high-quality opportunities we offer.
  • We are focused on your own personal and professional development; we will support you to enhance your skills and practice and be the best you can be.
  • We have an established career structure in place to help you get where you want to be in your career.

You will be entitled to a retention payment of £1500 per year pro rata which will be spilt into two payments, in December and June. You become eligible for the payment after 6 months employment and successful completion of your probationary period.

Requirements for the role:

In order to be shortlisted for the role, please evidence how you have met the requirements set out in the ‘Employee Specification’ section of the attached job profile.

You must hold a Social Work England recognised Social Work Qualification and be registered with Social Work England - or in the process of qualifying as a social worker.
