We’re looking for Social Workers to join our team

Appointment will be made at Grade 8 to 10, progression to Grade 11 as a Senior Practitioner will be via assessment

There’s a really supportive feel to our team - we all pull together to support each other and share our expertise. We have approachable and experienced managers who are willing to listen and a team with a wide breadth of practice knowledge. 

You’ll be based initially in the Huddersfield Hub in Civic Centre 1 and will work with adults aged 18 years plus who have a range of physical disabilities or health conditions.  You will work flexibly across Huddersfield and its surrounding areas.  We are positive about mobile working to support you to achieve the work life balance you need, Social Work isn’t a 9-5 job and no two days are the same however we understand how important achieving that balance is.

Huddersfield Town has a diverse population and offers everything you need - shops, banks, café’s, a post office and large leisure centre. The bus and train stations nearby, enable good transport links to other towns.

Travel is an essential part of this job and therefore it would be extremely difficult for you to do your job effectively if you did not use a car for all or most of the time.  It is essential that you hold a full and valid driving licence and it is expected that you will either use a council vehicle or your own car (exceptions can be made for disabled applicants).
