At Kirklees Council we strive for innovative and creative approaches to the delivery of services to our communities. Kirklees Council’s Road Safety Team is looking for a positive and friendly role model of good road safety behaviour who brings a flexible attitude and personal initiative to the job. Our Safe and Active Travel Officers deliver road safety education, training and publicity designed to influence behaviour and reduce road casualties.

If you have a good understanding of road safety and experience working with children and young people, this role will give you the chance to use your strong presentation skills to help create a safer community for the people of Kirklees.

If you are keen to make a difference to your local community by promoting safe and active travel. This might be the perfect role for you.

You must hold a full and valid driving licence and be willing to undertake and pass a Kirklees Council driving test and travel between sites using a Council vehicle.
