Our progress so far is clear;

  • The social work teams are now close to full complement and all leadership and management posts are filled with permanent staff.
  • Advanced Practitioners provide more support for social workers and more focus on developing practice.
  • Working in locality teams and building effective relationships with partners.
  • A remuneration package which reflects the challenges of the role.

We are currently recruiting experienced social workers to join our Children in Care and Care Leavers Service. The service is made up of 8 teams. Five Team Mangers are responsible for all looked after children who have a plan for permanency via long term foster care, including friends and family care, residential care and placed at home on care orders.   As a social worker in this service you will be responsible for your own case load working closely with children and young people to ensure best outcomes are achieved in line with their wishes and feelings. Direct one to one work will be a focus of your intervention with young people and families to progress care planning and permanence.
