Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of Fusion Housing.

FUSION HOUSING provides housing advice, housing support services and learning opportunities to people in Kirklees, along with managed tenancy services in Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield.

This new role has been created within our Business Support Team based in Huddersfield to support and advise the organisation across all locations on all aspects of Health, Safety & Environment. The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Managing and monitoring standards, processes, communications and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health, Safety & Environment are adhered to.
  • Reporting to the Fusion Board & Health, Safety & Environment Sub-Committee.
  • Completing and reviewing risk assessments
  • Leading on improving Health, Safety & Environment performance
  • Maintaining compliance
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are reviewed and updated
  • Providing structured Health, Safety & Environment training for staff

The successful applicant must have sound technical knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment regulations and compliance as well as knowledge of building risks. Ideally they will hold a NEBOSH qualification (diploma level or working towards accepted) or OSH NVQ (Level 4 or working towards accepted) as well as membership to IOSH (Certified Member preferable). A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
