Head of Safeguarding and Quality Assurance - Childrens'
We’re Kirklees… are you?
In Kirklees we are focused on outcomes more than process and believe that to achieve the best outcomes for local citizens we need to be thinking “People, Place, Partners” and “working with rather than doing to.” We have a significant programme of investment in the physical infrastructure of our towns and villages that builds on our rich history. We are committed to an inclusive Kirklees and to ensuring that everyone benefits from improved outcomes.
We recognise that this means we need to pay particular attention to how we work with some of our more vulnerable citizens and how we create the conditions for people to be more active citizens. Children and our services to young people are the heart of our vision and we are investing accordingly.
We are strengthening our leadership team and as a result of promotions and service realignments have the following Head of Service opportunity available.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced safeguarding professional who will be part of our Children’s Services leadership team helping us to deliver our ambitions for outstanding services for young people in Kirklees.
Our services have continued improved since our Ofsted inspection in 2019. At the heart of our approach is a Restorative model which see us working with young people, families and partners to change the culture of our services and to ensure that our children remain safe.
The Head of Safeguarding and Quality Assurance will be our strategic lead to ensuring that children and families are getting consistent and high quality services across Children’s Services. You will help us to further embed our restorative approach to Quality Assurance which engages and challenges key stakeholders and partners to deliver improved outcomes.
Across our services and partnerships you will champion a high support and high challenge approach developing a shared culture of reflection, learning and improvement. You will need a proven track record that demonstrates your ability to build relationships and influence innovation in service delivery w
This is a great time to join Kirklees and you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to lives of children in our diverse and varied communities. For an informal conversation please contact Tom Brailsford on 01484 221000.
