Working pattern – Monday and Thursday full day with a half day to be negotiated

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Depravation of Liberty (DoLS) admin team, providing specialist business and admin support, working alongside a friendly business support team, operational colleagues, internal and independent assessors and the Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) service.

The office environment is open plan and is shared with Adults Services operational colleagues so a level of professionalism and confidentiality is expected at all times.

The work is based on the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and as such is statutory in nature (including tight timescales requiring negotiation); heavily process-based and technical. Each DoLS application is different but all use specific forms and follow set processes and protocols.

The working environment is extremely fast-paced where a pro-active approach and constant re-prioritisation of work is required. The workload is shared between all team members, so being supportive, a good team player and an excellent communicator ensures the work is processed professionally, effectively and within expected legal timelines.

Business administration skills to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and knowledge of IT packages is essential.  The role requires use of excel spreadsheets; PDF writer and data entry into databases and specialist systems as well as the ability to produce complex and specialist documentation.

Haroon Mehmood is the manager for this role, please contact them on 01484 221000 for an informal discussion, or if you need any more information.
