Upper Batley High School were identified as a Beacon School in the Northern Challenge report due to the excellent progress our disadvantaged learners make. We also hold the PSHCE Charter Mark, the Careers Quality Standard and we are a lead school within the Kirklees Careers Hub. We are one of only a few schools in the UK to achieve 100% in all Gatsby benchmarks. Ofsted identified out careers programme as a “real strength of the school”.

We are part of the Batley Multi Academy Trust, whose sole purpose is to provide an outstanding education through our family of schools. Batley Multi Academy Trust currently comprises Batley Girls’ High School, Upper Batley High School, Batley Grammar School, Healey Junior, Infant and Nursery School and Field Lane Junior, Infant and Nursery School.

We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to work on a full time basis. The successful candidate will have experience of working with children / young people in a school environment, with proven success in using teaching resources and supporting learners. Knowledge of the national curriculum is also essential. 

Educated to A-level standard or equivalent, the successful applicant will have good organisation and communication skills and can work well in a team. The role will involve providing support and guidance to individuals, individual groups or on a whole class basis through curriculum activities. The post will be based at Upper Batley High School however the successful candidate may be asked to work across Batley Multi Academy Trust.
