Do you want to be involved in delivering a ground-breaking, multi-million pound project to create apprenticeships in Kirklees?

If so read on..

Kirklees Council has teamed-up with Kirklees College,  University of Huddersfield and Kirklees Active Leisure to deliver an exciting new initiative.

Employers will receive support to use apprenticeships for skills planning, retraining staff and to achieve a high performing workforce. The project will aim to create quality training opportunties at all levels and age group within the workforce, especially those who feel left behind.

The 3-year project will promote awareness of the apprenticeship levy and standards, help employers with diagnostic assessments, train supervisors and support employees to access opportunities.

As a Project Manager you will lead the project delivery team, work and report to the steering group and take overall responsibility for project delivery and ESF funding requirements.

You will need project and staff management experience, alongside experience of overseeing monitoring and accountability structures (preferably related to ESF funding).  As well as awareness of barriers faced by disadvantaged groups and those under-represented in apprenticeship take-up.

The project is part funded by ESF (European Social Fund) and therefore the role is funded by ESF. ESF funds help local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support innovation, businesses, skills development, job creation, social inclusion and local community regenerations.
