At Kirklees we want to be innovative and creative in the way we work to deliver our services to our communities. We know we have challenging times ahead so we are always looking for better and smarter ways to work.
Community cohesion is linked to the concept of social capital and the idea that if we know our neighbours and contribute to community activity then we are more likely to look out for each other, increase cohesion and minimise the cost of dependency.
As a Cohesion Officer, you will work as part of the cohesion team and report to the Faith & Integration Manager. The role will work across the Kirklees district in communities and neighbourhoods as directed by your manager.
Please review the Person Checklist in the job description to ensure that you have the essential skills required to be a Cohesion Officer.
If you are internal and want to apply for this job as a secondment you must be a substantive employee of the Council with over 6 months continuous service and have successfully completed your probation period.
Applications for secondments will only be accepted if approved by your manager, you will be asked to confirm on your application form that you have the relevant permission. If you are refused permission to apply for a secondment, please contact HR Recruitment to register the refusal.
