Business Support Officer - One Adoption West Yorkshire
Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of One Adoption West Yorkshire.
One Adoption West Yorkshire is a shared regional adoption service across the 5 West Yorkshire Local Authorities. It is hosted by Leeds City Council with office bases across West Yorkshire. Core services are the recruitment and assessment of all adopters, family finding for children and adoption support through all life stages and our vision is to ensure that children, adopters and birth parents in West Yorkshire receive an excellent adoption service.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate who can work as part of a team to provide efficient and organised business support. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with the service to create and maintain a customer focused attitude and approach at all times that promotes positive relationships and generates a culture of openness and trust.
This post offers the opportunity to be involved in a variety of work in adoption services and you will need to be competent in the use of information technology with a proven record of maintaining computerised record systems. It is expected that applicants will have an excellent working knowledge of both Microsoft Excel and Word packages.
The role is an excellent opportunity to work within a busy team and develop your skills and experience as you provide high quality administrative support. You will also support the provision of reception cover.
The work involves issues of a sensitive and confidential nature and applicants will need to display a clear understanding of the need for complete confidentiality at both application and interview stage.
You must be able to work as part of a team and be flexible with energy and commitment.
