The Council has ambitious plans for the economic regeneration and development of Kirklees.

We are looking for a real estate lawyer,  with substantial experience to join and co- lead our Real Estate team.

You will have your own  heavy caseload and manage  a variety of complex  property  and regeneration work  related  to housing growth and major project matters .

You must be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister holding a current practising certificate, or a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives or equivalent.

You should be a confident Lawyer with a commercial and “can do” approach to help deliver the Council’s objectives.  You will have the opportunity to supervise  other  lawyers in the Property legal team  on  development and regeneration matters.

The post would suit a candidate who wishes to expand their knowledge in what is one of the most diverse real estate practices you will find.

We offer mobile and agile working, together with access to the local government pension scheme. You will benefit from 27.5 days (+8 public holidays) and rising to 32.5 days holiday after 5 years’ service
