Located on an attractive campus close to Huddersfield town centre, adjacent to the picturesque Greenhead Park and an easy commute from much of the North West and Yorkshire, Greenhead College has been providing the highest quality academic Sixth Form College education in the area for 40 years.

Greenhead College is an outstandingly successful Sixth Form College with 2,600 16-19 year old students following advanced level courses. The College has a long history of exceptional examination results and sits near the top of the national sixth-form college performance tables, meaning it is one of the very best in the country.

The College has a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Sport and Physical Activity Officer to join the PE department.

The successful post holder will:

  • Access & coordinate the implementation of NGB participation programmes (as appropriate)
  • Build & sustain effective partnerships with NGB's, the local county sports partnership and other community sports providers to deliver collaborative sporting activity.
  • Organise inter college leagues, cups and competitions (as appropriate)
  • Liaise with the college PE department, facilitate coaching and/or the delivery of sports sessions and activities (as appropriate)
  • Promote and publicise sporting activities, attainments and achievements, internally and externally, via a range of promotional media and organisations
  • Investigate and access sports funding streams (as appropriate)
  • Attend CPD and events to maintain and update skills, knowledge and qualifications as agreed with line manager
  • Maintain appropriate administration records
  • Represent the college at meetings of local & regional sports organisations
  • Coordinate the administration required for AoC Sport regional & national championships
  • Co-ordinate weekly transport required for competitive fixtures
  • Organise and deliver sporting provision for under represented groups within the college community.
  • Able to work and creative with limited facilities
  • Undertake any additional tasks considered appropriate to this role
