Subject to a 6-Month Probationary Period

The GORSE Academies Trust seek to employ a willing and committed Junior IT Technician to work with the TGAT IT Services Team. Under the leadership of the Hub IT Manager, the successful candidate will work alongside the IT Technicians at Elliott Hudson College and The Stephen Longfellow Academy supporting the day-to-day operations of the academy’s IT service and provide excellent support to the staff and students.

The IT Services team support all academies within The GORSE Academies trust allowing all members of the team to share knowledge and best practice effectively. With the support of the newly formed Infrastructure and Development team all academies will have continued development of IT systems and services and the opportunity for personal CPD. 

The Elliott Hudson College is located on the White Rose Business Park next to the White Rose Shopping Centre. The building was recently refurbished to create a state-of-the-art Post 16 provision for the students of Leeds. With a cohort of 1000 students and judged as Outstanding in 2018 Elliott Hudson College plays a significant part in raising the standards of achievement for 16 to 18 year olds from our city.

The Stephen Longfellow Academy is a 5 to 10 minute walk from Elliott Hudson College. The Stephen Longfellow Academy provides exceptional education and therapy to students from across the Leeds region with the student’s best interests at the heart of everything the academy does. The Stephen Longfellow Academy moved to its permanent location in September 2018 following a multi-million-pound refurbishment, the site aims to provides the staff and the students with the very best facilities and opportunities to support the student’s development. 

Students are taught the national curriculum and the IT provision in the academy is a key aspect to supporting this education. The Academy boasts fantastic ICT throughout including an ICT Suite and Mac Suite, Chromebooks and interactive teacher walls in every classroom.
