The salary for this post will be within the range 14 to 18 of the pay spine for Support Staff, which is currently £24,932.00 - £28,217.00 per annum. Starting salary will be dependent on qualifications, skills and experience.

Located on an attractive campus close to Huddersfield town centre, adjacent to the picturesque Greenhead Park and an easy commute from much of the North West and Yorkshire, Greenhead College has been providing the highest quality academic Sixth Form College education in the area for 40 years.

Greenhead College is an outstandingly successful Sixth Form College with 2,600 16-19 year old students following advanced level courses. The College has a long history of exceptional examination results and sits near the top of the national sixth-form college performance tables, meaning it is one of the very best in the country.

The College wishes to appoint a MIS Officer to join the support staff team. Duties include:

  • Maintaining and securing information within UNIT-e and CEDAR.
  • Working with the Student Administration Manager to ensure the accuracy and entry of student data to Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) specifications and audit requirements, compliant with the up to date funding methodologies.
  • Keeping up to date with the Individual Learner Record (ILR) and ESFA funding methodology.
  • Undertaking timely ILR returns to the ESFA in accordance with their published schedule whilst liaising with the Director of Information Services.
  • Developing College reporting using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), supporting staff with their data requirements and analysis.
  • Working with the Director of Information Services to supply accurate self-assessment data. This will include working with and updating ProAchieve ILR analysis software to produce the data.
  • Producing ad hoc data and analysis to support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and other staff as may be required.
  • Securely populating web based educational applications’ data using their specifications, with student and staff details at relevant times in the educational cycle e.g. ActiveLearn and Kerboodle.
  • Supporting the student application process by developing UNIT-e and CEDAR reporting to provide accurate information throughout the applications cycle.
  • Undertaking any additional tasks considered appropriate to this role.

Applications are sought from individuals with experience of Further Education funding, management information systems and SQL knowledge. A degree in IT or Computer Science would be a distinct advantage.
