Fusion Housing Food Bank provides emergency food parcels for people in crisis across North Kirklees. In the last year we have provided over 3000 food packs. We are looking for someone committed to helping those in crisis. Are you passionate about helping those in need? Have you the skills for this busy and exciting role?
Fusion Housing Foodbank is looking for a Foodbank Worker/Driver. This exciting post balances driving with dealing face to face with clients in a foodbank setting. We are looking for an organised and friendly individual to drive our small van who is able to move and handle heavy crates and boxes. Assisting in the day to day running of the foodbank, including stock management, taking referrals and providing food packs to those in need. The successful applicant will join our Initial Contact Service which includes drop-in services for those in housing need alongside the foodbank provision, and will work with both staff and volunteers in a flexible, dynamic way.
The successful applicant will:
- be physically fit and able to carry out manual work
- be committed to equal opportunities, have a non-judgemental attitude and be able to work alongside volunteers and staff to provide food parcels to local people in need of support
- be willing to adapt to changing demands of the role
- be willing to undertake training
- be aged over 25 and have a clean driving licence for insurance purposes. If invited to interview you will be required to contact the DVLA to obtain a licence check code so that you can share your driving record with us https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence
