You will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Children’s Integrated Commissioning team comprising staff from both Kirklees Council and Kirklees CCG’s. A strong track record of forming excellent relationships with partners, service users and providers will be your success to this role, along with the ability to work strategically across Health and Social Care. You will need to be able to work collaboratively with staff, partners, stakeholders and Elected Members to deliver excellent results, embedding a partnership ethos and championing a high support and high challenge approach across our services and partnerships, developing a shared culture of reflection, learning and improvement.
You will lead and manage; the maintenance and development of a diverse and sustainable market of provision - ensuring that quality personalised support and care is available to meet statutory duties. This will include the quality and performance of commissioning in Children’s Service’s including further developing integrated arrangements where required, leading the Children’s Continuing Care Function and, along with the Head of Children’s Sufficiency, delivering our vision for the 5-year capital delivery programme. You will also lead on behalf of the CCG in relation to ensuring high quality services and outcomes for our children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, alongside providing the Child and Adolescent Mental Health lead commissioning function.
You will need specialist and up to date knowledge of children’s health social care and education services and knowledge of external issues (legislative, regulatory, best practice standards, requirements etc.) alongside substantial and experience and expertise in successful commissioning and strategic planning.
