Easily accessible from Manchester, Huddersfield, Leeds and surrounding areas.

‘Pupils and parents appreciate the improvements in behaviour and learning.’

‘Staff and pupils have positive relationships with each other.’

‘Pupils and parents praise the help that adults give pupils when they have a problem.’

‘Parents are happy with their children’s move from primary school into Year 7.’

The Role

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and inspiring Teaching Assistant to work within the Learning Support Department at Colne Valley High School. Staff in the Learning Support Department work with students, parents and colleagues across the school to ensure that all young people at Colne Valley have the best learning environment to allow them to accelerate their learning and develop to their fullest potential.

Our staff have extensive experience of working with students with a wide variety of additional needs such as: dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and autism and training and CPD opportunities are always ongoing.
We aim to offer support that is student-centred and flexible to meet individual needs such as in-class support, group work and bespoke interventions.

Whilst a team teach qualification is not essential, it can be advantageous.

If you are passionate and enthusiastic about helping children and can work with us to nurture their aspirations and dreams; enabling them to be the best they can be, then we would love to hear from you.
