We have temporary (subject to review at 11 months) HR Advisor jobs available in the following teams:


Service Delivery - schools

Our team provides customer focused HR advice and support to over 150 schools across Kirklees. We pride ourselves on our positive relationships with schools and understanding of their business. There will be strong casework focus to this role.


Service Delivery – council

Our council HR Team work closely with all council services. This role will focus on supporting our Growth and Regeneration and Environment and Climate Change Directorates. There will be strong casework focus to this role.


Workforce Strategy

Our workforce strategy team leads on areas including recruitment, pay and reward, apprenticeships and policy. There will be a project focus to this role.


We are looking for solutions and customer focused HR Advisors to join our busy professional HR team providing proactive advice and support to council services and schools across the full range of HR activity. You will provide business focused advice in line with strategy, policy, employment law and good practice and will also support broader HR projects.

You will either have or be working towards CIPD qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience. Your technical knowledge will be supported by strong communication and influencing skills and ability to build relationships quickly.

Your breadth of practical HR experience will demonstrate a proactive, solutions focused approach to both sensitive and complex employee relations issues including attendance management, performance, grievance, disciplinary and organisational change. You will thrive on working at pace on varied and multiple cases or projects and will be comfortable working independently using your own initiative.
