The Role:

The role of Pastoral Support Assistant at Heckmondwike Grammar School supports a team of five Heads of Year and a Safeguarding and Welfare Officer, who endeavour to provide outstanding pastoral support for the students in Years 7-11.  

The post holder will need to assist staff in ensuring that high standards of behaviour are maintained throughout the school, supporting the implementation of the pastoral system as well.

This will also include upholding the rewards system by working with all staff, students and parents.

Experience of working in a school is not essential however previous experience of working in a front-facing or customer services type role is a must. You will be able to work with young people of all ages and have the ability to maintain appropriate relationships at all levels.
