In Kirklees we are focused on outcomes more than process and believe that to achieve the best outcomes for local citizens we need to be thinking “People, Place, Partners” and “working with rather than doing to.” We have a significant programme of investment in the physical infrastructure of our towns and villages that builds on our rich history. We are committed to an inclusive Kirklees and to ensuring that everyone benefits from improved outcomes. We recognise that this means we need to pay particular attention to how we work with some of our more vulnerable citizens and how we create the conditions for people to be more active citizens.

In this role you will support Council and system wide priorities to place communities at the centre and ensure people can access the support they need at the right time. As part of the leadership team you will work with the leadership team to support the transformation of how we work with our customers and communities and will also work closely with the corporate centre.

We are looking for an innovative and knowledgeable manager to join our leadership team who understands the role of communities in supporting vulnerable people and the importance of strong relationships and co-ordination of strategies and programmes of activity across services and stakeholders.

You will need a proven track record that demonstrates your ability to effectively manage large scale programmes and stakeholder relationships to support delivery of high quality and high impact services for our communities and customers

This is an exciting time to join us, with the opportunity to help shape and develop the service.
