We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our existing team of compliance management specialists as a Technical Officer (Water Quality). The main purpose of this role is to manage Water Quality in KNH assets, ensuring that KNH is fully compliant and up-to-date with the latest legislation, whilst seeking opportunities to achieve best practice. 

The Job: 

You will ensure that Water Quality in KNH stock is managed effectively by ensuring that Risk Assessments are conducted within agreed timeframes, that the findings are assessed and the associated remedial actions are completed as per their level risk priority. You will develop a pro-active water sampling regime in higher risk blocks, ensure that the existing water quality maintenance regime is sustained across the stock, and ensure that the maintenance activities are recorded, findings monitored and undertake trend analysis to identify pro-active remedial actions. Work with the General Manager – Compliance & Quality to further develop and implement a pro-active Water Quality Management Plan.

What are we looking for?

- Professional qualification in construction or similar discipline;

- Educated to HNC level or equivalent and/or professionally qualified in Water Quality Management or a related discipline and/or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience;

- Must hold or be willing to work towards City & Guilds WH001 Legionella Management for Water Systems (or equivalent) along with demonstrable knowledge and experience of managing Water Quality;

- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH National General Certificate (highly desirable or willing to work towards);

- Experience of Water Quality Management in a similar organisation;

- Solid understanding of value for money principles;

- Experience of working with contractors and sub-contractors;

- Strong negotiation skills;

- Strong customer service focus;

- Demonstrable track record in meeting targets and objectives; and

- Knowledge and experience of asset/compliance management databases.
