This is a 6 month project where you will be leading on the development and implementation of the Out of Hours Service, in order to have a fully operational team in place which supports Foster carers, Looked After Children and young people and partner agencies out of hours. The project is based in Resources, Improvement and Partnerships and is managed by the Service Manager for Quality Assurance.
Your primary focus will be to both lead and contribute to a variety of projects in line with service priorities and change initiatives. You will also support and assist Senior Managers in the development of services and in the setting of measurable outcomes.
Using and promoting a project management approach you will prepare and implement project plans and be responsible for the evaluation of objectives, targets and outcomes within the project planning process.
You will have:
Knowledge of legislation and government guidelines
Experience of supporting the implementation, or transformation, or change in the Council or another organisation
Understanding of good practice in project or programme management
Understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing local government and the wider public sector.

In this role you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and work on an exciting new project which will shape an out of hours support service. You will be working with colleagues from within Children’s Services, partner agencies and a number of stakeholders to lead on the implementation of a new service. You will be supported by your manager to carry out this project and you will have the opportunity to help shape and implement services, changes and improvement to ensure Looked After children and young people and their carers are supported. You will be accountable for the development of services in line with policy, best practice, professional standards and legislation.
