The Superintendent Registrar/Service Manager has the responsibility for delivering statutory and non-statutory registration services for Kirklees.  Your focus will be service management and the operational responsibility of leading a team to deliver exacting and professional services to ensure that births, still births, marriages and deaths are registered and compliant with legal processes and within the KPIs as set by the General Register Office (GRO), the governing body.

 

The service also offers a wide range of ceremonies, including marriage, civil partnership, citizenship, baby naming and renewal of vows.  You will ensure the meticulous coordination and adherence to government quality standards in the delivery of all ceremonies.  Additionally, you will be responsible for the licensing of approved venues and working with partners to maximise the benefit to them of their investment.

 

The service brings in significant income for which you will have responsibility, but you will also have a creative approach to marketing services to increase that further, keeping pace with change and looking for new opportunities to widen the customer offer. You will be confident with transformation processes to lead on change to continue the modernisation of the service.
