KIRKLEES COUNCIL ARE ADVERTISING THIS ROLE ON BEHALF OF THORNHILL COMMUNITY ACADEMY.

We are looking to recruit a Technician to support the Design Technology team, providing practical support to teaching staff and students across the department.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have Maths and English to GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent;
  • Have experience of working in a science, food, textiles, design technology environment
  • Have knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Have knowledge of CAD, CAM and CNC equipment
  • Love encouraging, motivating and inspiring students through the support they give in order to encourage their learning;
  • Be committed to our ethos that all students can achieve at Thornhill Community Academy
  • Have great references demonstrating they are a suitable candidate, safe to work with children.
