Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of Women Centre.

STAGE has been supported by The National Lottery since 2021. It is a partnership, which brings together eight organisations to provide trauma-informed support for women who have been groomed for sexual exploitation. STAGE partners also work together to influence policy change and amplify women’s voices. Over the next three years STAGE will become the Adult Sexual Exploitation (ASE) Partnership focusing on changing the commissioning culture and service delivery around adult sexual exploitation.

The Sexual Exploitation Caseworker’s role is about providing trauma-informed support on a one-to-one basis, as well as brokering solutions to help women address immediate needs and ‘crisis’ and supporting women through the process of giving evidence to trials. The work will drive and embed best practice in working with young women as they transition into adulthood.

We are recruiting to two posts, one based in Calderdale and one in Kirklees.

In this role you will be working as part of the WomenCentre team and be line managed within our team. You will also be expected to work alongside colleagues in similar roles in the other participating organisations across the region to share learning, participate with the project’s evaluation and wider events.

This is an opportunity to be involved in a developing role that that will influence work with women locally, regionally and nationally

WomenCentre is an organisation that promotes safeguarding practice across all our service delivery and staff and volunteer recruitment.
