Through devolution we will be working to drive up living standards through better transport, improved skills and stronger businesses, while tackling the climate emergency.

The Combined Authority has ambitious plans to unlock the vast potential of the region by building a strong, successful economy where everyone can build great businesses, careers and lives.

The Role

WYCA is looking to recruit an experienced Governance Services Officer to work in a busy Legal & Governance Services team providing a comprehensive, effective and professional Committee Services function.

The successful candidate should have experience of working in a political environment and a broad knowledge of local government practices and procedures and decision making.

You must be self-motivated, able to organise and prioritise your own workload, work accurately with attention to detail and be able to work under pressure. You should have good IT skills and be able to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels. Experience of using the ‘Modern.gov’ decision management tool for producing agenda papers and minutes is desirable, however training can be given.
