As a Learning Mentor, you will play a crucial role in empowering our pupils to overcome challenges, develop essential life skills, and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and motivate children with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural needs to excel academically and personally.
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to pupils, offering guidance, encouragement, and practical strategies for overcoming obstacles.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create tailored intervention plans and support strategies for individual pupils.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families, serving as a trusted mentor and advocate for their well-being.
  • Organise and facilitate workshops and programs aimed at promoting emotional resilience, conflict resolution, and positive social interactions.
  • Work closely with families to understand and address the needs of pupils outside the classroom, offering guidance and resources for fostering a supportive home environment.

What are we are looking for from a strong candidate?

  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
  • Experience working in a similar role within a primary school setting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of various intervention strategies and techniques for supporting pupils with diverse needs.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude, with a commitment to fostering inclusivity and diversity within the school community
