We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our existing team of asbestos management specialists as a Technical Officer (Asbestos). The main purpose of this role is to manage asbestos in KNH assets, ensuring that KNH is fully compliant and up to date with the latest legislation, whilst seeking opportunities to achieve best practice. 

The Job 

You will ensure that asbestos in KNH stock is managed effectively by ensuring that the asbestos register is maintained and that the quality assured asbestos survey information is available for our workforce and contractors. You will ensure that any incidents are fully investigated with learning outcomes shared and processes amended where required. You will be responsible for ensuring asbestos is removed and disposed of safely, that policies and procedures are current and shared across the organisation, and you will report progress against a suite of Key Performance Indicators.

To do this role you will need: 

* GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English & Maths or equivalent

* HNC level or equivalent and/or professionally qualified in Asbestos Management or a related discipline and/or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience

* BOHS P405 (Management of Asbestos In Buildings), or willingness to work towards along with demonstrable knowledge and experience of managing asbestos safely and associated works

* Previous experience of data input and maintenance of databases and/or Contact Management Systems 

* Proven track record in meeting targets and objectives within operational plans
