We’re Kirklees… are you?

In Kirklees we are focused on outcomes more than process and believe that to achieve the best outcomes for local citizens we need to be thinking “People, Place, Partners” and “working with rather than doing to.”  We have a significant programme of investment in the physical infrastructure of our towns and villages that builds on our rich history.  We are committed to an inclusive Kirklees and to ensuring that everyone benefits from improved outcomes.  We recognise that this means we need to pay particular attention to how we work with some of our more vulnerable citizens and how we create the conditions for people to be more active citizens. We have invested in our leadership team and as a result of promotions have Head of Service opportunities available.

We are looking for an innovative and knowledgeable senior professional with significant experience of operational safeguarding to join our leadership team. You will have operational responsibility for Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Social Work teams and will have a crucial role in the ongoing development of our well-established partnership arrangements. You will be instrumental in helping us shape and deliver the ongoing integration agenda.

You will need senior level operational experience in a relevant health or social care setting to be able to provide credible leadership in a partnership environment.

You will provide direction and leadership to your teams, developing services in partnership to meet future needs.

This is an exciting time to join us, with the opportunity to work within a strong, experienced team enthusiastic to reshape pathways and practice to ensure a strengths-based approach.
