WomenCentre (Kirklees) Mental Health and Wellbeing Service
Leading on support for mothers living apart from their children
We have a temporary vacancy for a mental health facilitator, to join our multi-disciplinary team in providing support to women who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health. The post is funded by Kirklees Council and the NHS: Greater Huddersfield Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and North Kirklees CCG and provides gender-specific support for women, aged 18+ in Kirklees.
The post holder will lead of the delivery of our services for mothers living apart from their children
The post requires:
- Significant experience in supporting women, from diverse backgrounds, communities and with varying needs, to develop skills and strategies to better manage their mental health.
- Experience in the facilitation of groups
- Experience of working with women who are marginalised and/or have experience trauma.
- Experience of assessing and managing risk.
The post holder will be based in our Huddersfield Office but will be expected to travel to the other WomenCentre bases (Dewsbury and Halifax) as and when required.
WomenCentre is an organisation that promotes safeguarding practice across all our service delivery and staff and volunteer recruitment. Applicants should note that WomenCentre will require a declaration from candidates successful at interview relating to previous and current criminal convictions. This declaration and any DBS checks required will form part of pre-employment checks for this post.”
