We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking ICT Technician to ensure the smooth running of ICT systems and provision of ICT support throughout the School.

The successful candidate needs to show initiative, have a positive attitude, good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team. An ICT background is essential, preferably within an educational setting.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wishes to be part of a busy department, in a fast-paced environment, who can deliver high levels of student and staff support in a successful school with an immediate start.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

• Assist in the support, management, and development of the IT infrastructure within the College

• Contribute to the school ICT development plan to ensure effective and timely implementation

• Experience of using Office 365 including Outlook

• Provide first line helpdesk support

• Provide day-to-day maintenance support in the use of computer facilities within the College to support staff, students, and the curriculum

• Support school staff setting up and preparing equipment around the School e.g. assembly setup, presentation evenings, Masses

• Provide appropriate support to users working remotely on a variety of devices and platforms

• Provide a secure and safe setup of ICT equipment in classrooms including laptops, projectors, whiteboards, sound systems as and when required ensuring they are ready to use

• Provide basic maintenance and cleaning support for all computer equipment and networks, including the connection and commission of new equipment, and security marking

• Ensure virus protection is kept up to date

• Ensure that, as far as possible, students are not exposed to inappropriate materials on the network

• Install new software, hardware upgrades and replace components as required

• Maintain the upkeep of the school IT inventory

• Use systems to setup accounts, reset passwords

• Restore and transfer user data

• To receive and check deliveries and associated invoices

 

All Saints is an 11-16 school, situated near the northern boundary of Kirklees.  We are a Catholic school with students attending from diverse cultural backgrounds, which contribute to the distinctive ethos.  In July 2017, Ofsted judged All Saints “Good” in every category and “Outstanding” in terms of our recent S48 inspection by the Diocese of Leeds in June 2018.
