Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Climate Change Officer …………? We want you!

Addressing Climate Change is high on the Local,  Regional and National agendas and our Energy & Climate Change Team is working hard to develop and implement our detailed Climate Emergency Programme across the Council and the Kirklees district.

An exciting opportunity has arisen and we’re looking for an individual who is passionate and enthusiastic about Climate Change who can work alongside the Energy & Climate Change Team Leader, Climate Change Officer and Project Officers in developing and implementing the Climate Change Programme.

The role will support the Team Leader to deliver the Council’s commitments to reducing its carbon footprint and improving resilience to climate change. This is a new role that will assist with the development of our climate change road map and will work with colleagues across the Council on carbon savings, innovation, and culture change in support of our net zero target. The role will also be responsible for working with residents, partners and anchor institutions including the Kirklees Climate Commission.

At Kirklees Council, we want to support your professional development to give you the right skills, confidence and support to really achieve your potential. We offer a variety of courses and training designed for this exact purpose.
