KS1 Class Teacher - Fixby Junior and Infant School
To commence September 2023
This is an exciting time to join Fixby J&I School. We are a forward-thinking school with the pupils at the heart of everything we do. You would be joining us at an exciting time: we have redefined our vision and values to reflect our community and the current climate and are shaping the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of our pupils. We provide our pupils with a quality education, both inside and outside the classroom and we are seeking to employ an individual who will bring enthusiasm and passion to enhance our ethos.
You should be a talented teacher, with an impressive track record of raising achievement and outstanding commitment to every child’s social and emotional wellbeing. You should have additional skills to enhance the learning at Fixby with a focus around PE, music and/or Modern Foreign Language to help us deliver a full and engaging curriculum.
We can offer:
• A permanent position within a friendly, dedicated staff team who believe in teamwork and building positive
relationships across school
• A supportive and committed Leadership Team, dedicated to achieving a positive work-life balance
• A commitment to provide CPD opportunities, in order to develop excellence, share good practice and to grow
outstanding leaders
• A strong Governing Body who actively support, challenge and celebrate school’s achievements
In return, we are looking for someone who is:
• A dynamic and enthusiastic teacher, with experience in Lower Key Stage 2 and/or Key Stage 1
• A highly reflective practitioner who is passionate about education and driven to make continuous
improvements to their practice.
• An excellent role model for staff and pupils.
• A team player with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to be fully involved in the life of the school
• A commitment to build good working relationships with children, parents, staff and governors
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed by arrangement with the office on 01484 226650
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff are subject to an enhanced DBS check. A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
