We’re Kirklees… are you?

In Kirklees we are focused on outcomes more than process and believe that to achieve the best outcomes for local citizens we need to be thinking “People, Place, Partners” and “working with rather than doing to.”  We have a significant programme of investment in the physical infrastructure of our towns and villages that builds on our rich history.  We are committed to an inclusive Kirklees and to ensuring that everyone benefits from improved outcomes.  We recognise that this means we need to pay particular attention to how we work with some of our more vulnerable citizens and how we create the conditions for people to be more active citizens. We have invested in our leadership team and as a result of promotions have Head of Service opportunities available.

We are looking for an innovative and knowledgeable senior professional (Social Work or equivalent qualified) with significant experience of operational safeguarding to join our leadership team. You will have operational responsibility for social work and social care practice and performance in the North of Kirklees where you will develop strong strategic relationships with health partners, housing and the CCGs. You will have responsibility for operational safeguarding and DoLs teams across Kirklees and will provide direction and leadership developing services to meet future needs.

This is an exciting time to join us, with the opportunity to work within a strong, experienced team enthusiastic to reshape pathways and practice to ensure a strengths-based approach.

For an informal conversation please contact Amanda Evans on 01484 221000.
