The Organisation

This is a great opportunity to help shape the West Yorkshire Combined Authority as it transitions to becoming a Mayoral Combined Authority following the agreement of a landmark  £1.8bn devolution deal recently agreed which will put the Region at the forefront of the Government’s Northern Powerhouse delivery agenda. The Combined Authority brings together district partners, the business community via Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership and the Passenger Transport Executive (branded Metro). Overall, the Combined Authority covers a population of around 2.5 million people and represents one of the largest economies outside London.

The role

Are you looking for a challenge and a strategic HR role in a transforming organisation?

We are looking to recruit a HR Business Partner into the team on a fixed term contract to support the organisation through a period of change. The role will support a programme of work to get the organisation ready for an elected mayor and mayoral office in May 2021. This will involve managing specific workstreams within the wider programme along with the Head of HR to review our organisational structures, setting up new functions and departments, ensuring our terms and conditions of employment reflect the future needs of the organisation and managing a TUPE transfer to bring additional functions into the organisation.

The person

You should be a strategic thinker who is CIPD qualified and has a track record of working with senior management teams to drive the HR agenda throughout the business, with organisational design and transformational change experience including managing TUPE transfers.
