Our services have been working tirelessly throughout the pandemic. To support our response as the testing and vaccination programme accelerates we are looking for an operational manager to work within our existing business continuity frameworks to be the Council’s operational lead on responding to the Covid-19 crisis. You will support senior officers to determine strategies and implement operational plans to drive forward community response activities in Kirklees. In particular you will be responsible for managing the recruitment and deployment of resources across the district to help prevent the spread of the virus, this will include community testing and response activities as well as co-ordination of vaccination programmes. You will work with communities, businesses and a range of partners across Kirklees to deliver shared outcomes.

 

Resilient and able to work effectively at pace and in a climate of uncertainty and competing demands, you will have a strong background in planning emergency responses or complex services with high demand. You will support our senior team to translate the latest developments in the government’s plans and legislation into our response to slow the spread of Covid-19, being clear on the implications for council services and our resources. A strong leader you will operate with confidence at all levels, your ability to stay calm under pressure and quickly build strong working relationships within and beyond the council will be critical.
