Educational teaching Assistant - St Josephs Catholic Primary Dewsbury
We have a vacancy for the position of Educational Support Assistant, to start on Monday 7th September 2020, subject to school fully reopening. The start date may therefore be delayed. This is on a fixed term basis and the contract will be reviewed at the end of Spring Term 2021.
As an Educational Support Assistant, you will be supporting the learning for pupils with SEN. You will be a resilient person who is looking for a challenge in providing great support in this role. You will support teaching in the classroom during lesson time and support and improve progress out of the classroom through individual intervention work. At times the job holder will act up to cover the role of Teaching Assistant, when required. These hours will be paid at Teaching Assistant rates, so experience working in this type of role would be beneficial.
Experience of working with children with SEN and knowledge of the national curriculum and current inclusion practices would be desirable for this role. In addition, you must be able to work as part of a team to support the learning and welfare of the pupil(s).
