The Team

A great opportunity to join a highly skilled, dynamic multi-faceted team delivering capital investment and improvements to Council Housing in Kirklees.

Our assets include 21,500 council homes with 750 new builds in the pipeline. We’ll be looking to you to support the drive for excellence with the strategic, operational and financial management of the workstreams which feed into the asset strategy as we invest in greening and decarbonising homes with planned investment in the stock of £1.5 billion over the next thirty years.

We’re looking for a strategic and focussed Asset strategy and performance Service Manager to join the team to help us deliver our ambitious investment plans.

This role is key to ensuring that we provide homes and neighbourhoods that are fit for the future and that people are proud to live in, by:

  • Leading and coordinating the strategy and performance functions of the Assets, Building Safety and Development team;
  • Ensuring oversight and coordination of all capital delivery projects, by developing a suite of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to provide transparency, ensure statutory compliance and support management of services and projects;
  • Leading service and improvement planning that supports the embedding of best practice and emerging good practice, legislative requirements and sector innovations to deliver the best outcomes for H&N;
  • Providing expert guidance on programme and contract management ensuring risks are identified and managed
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to deliver a holistic approach to asset management
  • Performance managing the work of the team ensuring high standards of operation and delivery
