**Exciting Opportunity – New Role within Town Halls Team**

Do you have a passion for working with and helping people? Are you a great communicator? Do you enjoy problem solving? IF YES – Read on -

Many members of Council staff have worked from home during the Covid pandemic.  Face to face contact is now becoming less of an exception as teams and individuals begin to reconnect with one another.  The Council’s workplace of the future won’t be like it was; we want to build a flexible environment that works for all our services.

We are creating a specific and specialised bookings team to handle all the Council’s requests for collaborative working spaces, initially across our own venues, with the expectation that this will expand out across external, non-Council facilities.

The approach from the team to incoming requests is to be very much a positive and proactive “can do” attitude supporting enquiries to obtain the space needed, when it is needed, with the appropriate equipment. Seeing a booking all the way through the process from initial enquiry to being delivered on the day of the booking.

We are looking for

  • Someone who has a passion for working with people
  • A problem solver
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Somebody who can work as part of a team and on their own.
  • Able to deal with customers via all channels, in person, phone, MS Teams and via email.

It is essential that you have a flexible and positive ‘can do’ attitude, possess excellent customer care skills and good IT skills and that you are familiar with a variety of computer packages in particular Microsoft Office and that you are able to demonstrate business and administrative skills to NVQ level 3.

Please read the attached Day In The Life for details of some of the duties you will be expected to carry out.

David Roche is the manager for this role, please contact them on 01484 221000 for an informal discussion, or if you need any more information.
