West Yorkshire Combines Authority are seeking to appoint a Travel Centre Team Advisor in our Transport Services team. You will be based at our Leeds Travel Centre

It is an exciting time to be joining the Combined Authority, following the announcement of a £1.8bn devolution deal that has been secured for West Yorkshire. Devolution will enable us to drive up living standards for local communities while tackling the climate emergency and help deliver our commitment to become a net zero carbon city region by 2038

The Role:

Reporting into the Travel Centre Team Leader, your key responsibilities will include:

  • To sell and/or issue prepaid tickets, passes and permits and issue passenger Information in accordance with laid down procedures. Provide advice for tourist and passenger information for bus and rail services
  • Be a visible and enthusiastic team member, encouraging partnership working across the organisation.
  • Take a pro-active approach to participating and delivering of your directorate’s objectives

About You:

You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience

  • Educated to GCSE level or have equivalent relevant education
  • Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role with cash handling experience
  • Enthusiastic and totally customer focused, able to work under pressure and act on your own initiative
