Internally restricted job. To apply for this job you must be an employee of the Council for the duration of the recruitment process – up to and including the start date. You must also be a substantive employee (or an employee with 12 months continuous service or more) of the Council or an Apprentice. You will be a pro-active and enthusiastic individual with good project management skills, displaying a flexible approach to provide support across the service, demonstrating an ability to work as part of a team, working at pace and capable of managing a diverse workload.

You will work with different stakeholders to support the service to maintain business activities or quickly resuming them in response to changing and evolving circumstances ensuring our communities remain safe.

Under the direction of the Project Manager, you will support the development and delivery of identified projects within the Customers and Communities Directorate.

You will have a proactive approach to project management including project planning, time management, working to deadlines, research, providing written reports and consultation with stakeholders.

Key requirements for this job:

  • Experience of working on change management projects from initiation to successful conclusion.
  • Qualification or experience relating to project/programme management e.g. Prince2/MSP.
  • Has an awareness of the issues facing local government and in particular our approach to people in Kirklees living in cohesive communities, feeling safe and are protected from harm.
  • Experience of effective communication with stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation.
  • Ability to provide and present reports and information to the Project Board(s).
