We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced caseworker to join our Kirklees team, providing support to women (16 and over) to address and overcome the experiences associated with sexual exploitation and grooming.

This is a new post, funded by Kirklees MBC to increase the capacity of the existing project, STAGE (https://www.changing-lives.org.uk/general/project-update-stage-project).

The postholder will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing support to women who are survivors of and/or witnesses for local investigations into sexual exploitation. This is a temporary post, which increases capacity of the current service prior to commissioning by Kirklees MBC. The post holder will contribute to development of the commissioned service by participating in multidisciplinary development meetings.

The postholder will work alongside women to support and empower them to reach their full potential and to develop coping strategies that enable them to better manage the difficulties they have experienced. The postholder will provide 1:1 support using trauma informed and women-centred approaches.

The successful candidate will have

  • Experience of working with women who have experienced trauma, including sexual exploitation and grooming and sexual violence.
  • Experience of partnership working with multidisciplinary teams.

The postholder will be based in our Huddersfield office. We are currently working from home due to Covid-19 restrictions.
