SEND One-to-One Educational Teaching Assistant - St John's Infants Dewsbury

We invite applications from those who have first hand experience of working closely with young children with special educational and disability needs. The post requires applicants to be physically fit due to very limited mobility of the child/children you will be working with. Moving and Handling and Paediatric First Aid training will be provided but experience of this would be advantagous. Candidates should be calm, adaptable and compassionate with the ability to work with a variety of challenging behaviours. The ability to build rapport and strengthen relationships with parents and carers is also essential. As part of the role you will be able to confidently support children with intimate care, changing nappies/pull ups and toileting.
