Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of The Pivot Academy

At Pivot we believe children deserve better. In our academies we teach and support children and young people from Key Stages 1 – 4 who have been excluded from school, for whom mainstream education is simply not working, or those with an EHCP who require a specialist placement. Every day our teams do incredible work, making a huge difference to some of the most complex and challenging children, many of whom come to us with traumatic backgrounds.

The Pivot Academy Kirklees offers a therapeutic nurture provision for learners with complex social, emotional, mental health and other associated needs. We recognise each of our learners as unique with different experiences and offer a pathway to reflect their individual needs and support success.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Pastoral and Welfare Lead to join our senior leadership team at Kirklees. This is a key role at the academy in leading and motivating the pastoral team, ensuring that a consistent approach is taken to pastoral and welfare support and clear routines, expectations and protocols are in place. Experience in a similar leadership position and in developing initiatives, managing change and generating enthusiasm for new ideas with staff and learners is essential to the role.

Working at Pivot will give you a real chance to change our student’s lives and we truly believe you will find working here a rewarding experience.

Don’t miss this opportunity, apply now by completing an application form and returning to the HR team at recruitment@pivot-group.co.uk.
