As an Apprentice Co-Ordinator for the Kirklees Apprenticeships for All (KAFA) project you will support Kirklees Council services and schools to fully utilise the apprenticeship levy. You will be based within the apprenticeship team in Workforce Strategy, People Services.

You will manage the levy account and provide match spending evidence for the project. You will liaise with council services and schools to ensure a joined-up approach on apprenticeships and work with training providers to maintain high quality of provision.

You will also contribute to the wider outcomes required for the KAFA project by undertaking a range of outreach activities to engage participants across the district.

KAFA is a ground-breaking project which aims to upskill the workforce of Kirklees through apprenticeships in Kirklees. Employers in the district will receive support to use apprenticeships for skills planning, retraining staff and to achieve a high performing workforce. The project will aim to create quality training opportunities at all levels and age group within the workforce, especially those who feel left behind.

You will need strong IT skills and ability to analyse and present data.  You will have a Level 3 IAG qualification or a commitment to work towards it. With strengths in teamworking, communication and bringing out the best in others – this role would suit someone aspiring to further develop a career within HR, employment support or careers advisory work.

The project is part funded by ESF (European Social Fund) and therefore the role is funded by ESF. ESF funds help local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support innovation, businesses, skills development, job creation, social inclusion and local community regenerations.
