An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our Electoral Services team has arisen at Kirklees Council

You will be responsible for the provision of an effective, flexible and responsive technical, advisory and administrative support service through a range of duties.

You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of all aspects of the electoral process, including registration, local and national elections and referenda.

You will have a professional, friendly and polite manner to engage effectively with a wide range of customers and stakeholders from both inside and outside the Council.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and work with a high level of accuracy.

You should have a flexible and adaptable approach, and the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.

You should also have knowledge of applications and systems such as Microsoft Office, as well as knowledge of bespoke Electoral Management service system(s), and awareness of legislation governing electoral administration (election and registration).

During peak periods you will be required to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays to meet service needs and demanding deadlines.
